
Plant Science
UConn’s Plant Science major combines science, sustainability, and innovation to prepare you for a career addressing today’s most pressing environmental and agricultural challenges. You’ll explore how plants shape the world around us—from food and fiber production to soil health, ecosystem restoration, and climate resilience. With two- and four-year degree options and concentrations in Environmental Horticulture, Sustainable Agriculture, Turfgrass Science, and Soil Science, you can tailor your studies to your interests and career goals.

Our strong collaboration with the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture offers a seamless 2+2 transfer program. Advising
Advising is a cornerstone of the UConn experience.
