The Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture (PSLA) unites scientific discovery and creative design to advance UConn’s mission in teaching, research, and extension. With strengths in both plant science and landscape architecture, the department prepares students to create sustainable solutions that benefit people and the planet. Rooted in community, collaboration, and inclusion, PSLA fosters innovation and leadership that extend far beyond campus.

Through immersive courses, design studios, and field experiences, students gain the technical knowledge and creative skills to lead and shape the future of their careers.
