Research Projects/Interests

My work focuses on practical soil health, soil fertility, and nutrient stewardship for growers, gardeners, and agricultural professionals. I am interested in translating soil and plant testing results into clear, science-based recommendations that improve productivity while protecting the environment.

My research examines how carbon and nutrients move through ecosystems and how management practices such as fertilizer use, cover crops, and soil amendments affect soil organic matter, nutrient efficiency, crop performance, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Through my extension and laboratory work, I connect soil science research with diagnostic services, outreach, and practical recommendations that support long-term soil and plant health.
